The Council
Badsworth Parish Council consists of 5 councillors and considers issues such as Planning Applications for the village. The Parish Council is the lease holder for the Lawson Hut, which managed day to day by the Lawson Hut Committee. The Parish owns a section of Badsworth Way, but maintenance of footpaths, highways, and traffic calming in the rest of the Village is the responsibility of Wakefield District Council. The council can advocate on residents’ behalf, although contact Wakefield as a private citizen often produces quicker results.
